Learning from Recent Experiences
The recent major fire highlighted the need for better emergency planning and preparedness. The community realized that they needed to come together and take proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the Pindimar-Bundabah area.
The community welcomed the opportunity to hear from our local RFS to gain greater understanding on how the community can prepare and also support our local emergency services in return to all they give for our communities.
During the gathering at the Community Association Hall, community members and shared their experiences and discussed the lessons learned from the recent fire. This open dialogue allowed them to identify areas that required improvement and to develop strategies to enhance their emergency preparedness.
At the end of the meeting the community showed a commitment to supporting a RFS cadet program, organising a grant for radios, establishing a hub house radio network at Pindimar to connect with the Bundabah hub, & determining ways the local community can fill functional support roles to support the Firefighters in the field.

These include organizing training sessions on fire safety and first aid, clearing fire trails, and setting a communtiy radio network. By actively engaging in these initiatives, community members are equipping themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to emergencies.
